Hi,
a good way was to install the bundled version of Soundforge XP. It added some audio plugins to VelocityHD.

VST filters in Velocity 9 are very unstable. You can install ivsEdits free edition to add to Velocity a free powerful parametric EQ as audio effect. It is listed as IVS AUDIO ENGINE.
