Company profile
Interactive Video Systems (IVS) is an Italian company, with headquarters in Monteforte Irpino, specialised in solutions for digital video and content creation. IVS develops proprietary solutions for graphics, displays, cinema, TV and the web, and distributes the best of worldwide production in the professional audio-visual sector, together with high-end IT solutions (web servers, web TV, workstations, supercomputers, industrial PC chassis, etc.).
Our history
IVS was born from an intuition of one of the Castellano brothers, Roberto: a pioneer of digital post-production and 3D graphics who, after gaining wide experience at market-leading companies, understood that Naples could become an important centre for digital video editing.
Thanks to its passion for the technology it offered, IVS grew rapidly and soon became one of the national leaders in solutions for digital video and video graphics, despite a not particularly favourable geographical position. Through commitment and determination the company established itself throughout Italy, with installations from Trentino Alto Adige to Sicily.
The key to this success was probably the quality of the after-sales services, training and technical support, which according to customers had no equal in Italy. Never believing in overly rapid expansion, IVS did not rely on large advertising campaigns but on the word of mouth generated by satisfied customers.
Always linked to the DPS brand, IVS continued to support its products after the company changed its name to Leitch. Over the years IVS also linked its image to other brands: Digital Fusion from 1997 (the first in Italy, later as Master Dealer), Matrox (with many Digisuite LE systems sold), Newtek, CIS (TVPaint), Digital Rapids and Apple.
In 2002 came a new turning point: the creation of an internal software development division.

Services: training
Training was one of the most important activities carried out by IVS. IVS organised courses of different kinds: both courses on specific software applications and complete professional training of staff in every aspect of their preparation (2D and 3D graphics, editing, compositing, DVD authoring, video shooting).
IVS trained more than 1,000 video and graphics professionals, many of whom started from scratch and later became established at national level. Courses were held individually or in groups, at IVS or at the customer's premises. At the end of the courses IVS often offered internships at companies, which frequently turned into jobs.

Work with us
Our activities need brilliant minds. We were always looking for programmers specialised in video applications: degrees did not matter as much as intelligence, determination and experience in the field. Candidates who wanted to join a young, growing group were invited to send their CV to job@ivs.it.
For permanent or freelance work at IVS customers such as TV stations and post-production studios, IVS also looked throughout Italy for editors experienced with Velocity and with technical video and IT skills.
